Thank You, Philip!

If you can't tell from the pictures above, Philip is a cool dude.  Not only does he do crazy stuff with film, he does crazy stuff with html/coding/who knows what!  I owe the fact that my blog looks even remotely cool entirely to him and his ninja-like skills.  So everyone tell him thank you!!

The Contributor

This newspaper is doing great things.  If you see a vendor on the streets, pull over and get a paper ($1).  Maybe even learn their names and ask how they are doing.  This is Renee.

Miss Nashville: Haley

I met Haley a long time ago from my Chinese dance years...also known as the awkward years.  I'm pretty sure Haley has never even had an awkward day in her life.  But anyway...after a couple years of minimal contact through Facebook, we met up in Hillsboro Village to take some photos for her new title as Miss Nashville, as well as some fun ones.  Hope you like what you see!  Also, many thanks to Philip for lending me his 50mm for this (and for making my blog look cool..but that's for another post)!

Preview: Haley

It's kind of sad that when I find out I have to answer an interview question on my intellectual life, I have to look up the meaning of intellectualism in the dictionary, google it, and wiki it.  Clearly, my intellectual life is not thriving.
So right now, I am sitting on my sister's couch in Culver City, trying to make some last minute preparations for my interview in a couple hours.  I'm not really sure how I got invited to this scholarship weekend in the first place, so I guess I will really need to stand out at my interview, because there's no way it's because of my stats.  It's weird how much weight thirty minutes of your life can hold.

This is Haley, the current Miss Nashville.  We danced together for a couple years, and then didn't see each other for another couple of years.  I wish I was her in the picture right now.

Superbowl Sunday

Jimmy told me to put the camera away and push him on the swing some more.  Annie wouldn't even let me take pictures of her (as you can see), and kept nagging me to jump on the trampoline so they would bounce really high.  Bobby was the only one who happily said "cheese" when I pulled my camera out, but of course got bored by the time I pointed it at him.  Clearly my camera is not very popular around these kids, but with their adorable faces, I just couldn't help myself.  I wasn’t going to make a full post of these images, but I just love these kids too much not to.  Enjoy.

Weddings

This summer, I was lucky enough to intern with Dove Wedding Photography, which basically meant assisting in whatever way I could with various engagement, bridal, and day-after sessions.  In addition, I was able to assist/second shoot with Katie of K. Mosley Photography at a couple weddings.  Here's just a few favorites..
